Young Talented and Broke was selected and screened at the Fresh Faced Festival 2013. [in partnership with the BFI/ Lyric.] The Guardian writes “Young, Talented and Broke is Ciarra Nevitt’s highly commended film in the Intergenerational Foundation young film-makers’ short film competition in association with the Guardian and the National Union of Students. It explores through the voice of one young women the numerous struggles facing young people. SUFFERING IN SILENCE
Genre: Drama/LGBT. Written, produced, co-starred & co-directed by Ciarra Nevitt. Suffering In Silence was premiered at the Cinema Museum in November 2012. Suffering in Silence was selected and screened at the 2013 Portobello Film Festival's (2013) video cafe. The film highlights issues such as hate crime and homophobia, when questioned further on these issues, Ciarra Nevitt declares “Regardless of race, class, age, sex, sexuality or religion, everyone should be treated equal. Everybody is a human being. Everyone is entitled to their human rights. Loving someone of the same sex should not be a ‘reason’ for people to verbally or physically abuse you.
